北京康莱德酒店近日荣幸的迎来了新任中餐行政主厨苗凡先生，在以茶圣命名、别具精致中式底蕴的陆羽中餐厅，为宾客们带来饱含精湛烹饪技艺的粤式珍馐。



“明星主厨、备受瞩目的五星级酒店行政主厨、粤菜名厨的关门弟子”……集众多头衔于一身的苗凡，拜师于香港粤菜名厨叶文健先生。从师傅的言传身教、到对食材的潜心研究和对烹饪的热忱探索，身为85后的新锐主厨，苗凡以匠人精神和精湛厨艺广受赞誉：2022CCTV《厨王争霸》春节档金牌厨王、 世界饭店联合会授予“亚太明星厨皇”、“世界饭店金鹰奖”等。同时，也是央视财经频道《回家吃饭》、浙江卫视《谁是鼎厨》、爱奇艺 《主厨的荣耀》等多档美食栏目特邀嘉宾。

“让炒饭会跳舞”是恩师叶文健对苗凡第一次正式上炉学炒菜时要求。从学厨初期就保持的严苛态度，使得苗凡对待任何食材、菜品都十分严谨认真。也正因此，成绩斐然的明星主厨将始终如一的烹饪理念、至臻至美的严谨态度深植于每一次菜品烹饪中。

同时，苗凡也十分乐衷于探索，厦门、杭州、舟山等地的海鲜市场是他常去的地方，在开海或休渔期，不同的当季野生海鲜，给善于从地域文化、以及生活细节中寻找灵感的他，带来无限探索乐趣。

Conrad Hotel Beijing is delighted to welcome Chef Eric Miao as the new Executive Chef of Chinese Cuisine. At the Lu Yu Chinese Restaurant, named after the Tea Sage, Mr. Miao will bring exquisite Cantonese delicacies that showcase his superb culinary skills.

With titles such as "Celebrity Chef," "Youngest Executive Chinese Chef in a Five-Star Hotel," and "Disciple of a Renowned Cantonese Chef," Chef Miao has gained recognition for his craftsmanship and exceptional culinary expertise. He apprenticed under Mr. Ye Wenjian, a renowned Cantonese chef in Hong Kong. From his master's teachings and guidance to his devoted research on ingredients and passionate exploration of cooking, Chef Miao, a young chef born in the 1980s, has received widespread acclaim for his artisan spirit and exquisite culinary skills.

He has achieved accolades such as the Gold Medal Chef in the 2022 CCTV "Chef King Competition" during the Spring Festival, as well as the "Asia-Pacific Star Chef Emperor" and the "World Hotel Golden Eagle Award" presented by the World Hotel Association. He has also been invited as a special guest on various food programs, including CCTV's Financial Channel's "Home for Dinner," Zhejiang Satellite TV's "Who is the Ding Chef," and iQiyi's "Glory of the Chef."

"Make the fried rice dance," was the request of Chef Miao's mentor, Ye Wenjian, when Chef Miao cooked for the first time under his guidance. Maintaining a strict attitude since the early stages of his culinary education, Chef Miao approaches every ingredient and dish with meticulous care and seriousness. As a result, this accomplished celebrity chef consistently incorporates his cooking philosophy and rigorous approach to perfection into every dish he creates.

Chef Miao is also deeply passionate about exploration. He frequently visits fishing grounds in Xiamen, Hangzhou, and Zhoushan. During the fishing or off-season periods, the different seasonal wild seafood in these areas provides him with endless exploration and inspiration, as he seeks ideas from regional culture and everyday life.

As Chef Miao puts it, "A great chef is an artist who sculpts with food." At Lu Yu, Chef Miao and his team of chefs prioritize the seasonality, freshness, and origin of ingredients. They combine the essence of classic Cantonese cuisine with the characteristics of modern and refined dining, adhering to a sustainable food philosophy. From visually stunning presentations to rich and flavorful taste experiences, they create a sensory feast for the guests of Lu Yu. Chef Miao, together with his team, will present a Cantonese culinary feast and a selection of seasonal dishes based on the 24 solar terms.
